Doug Matthews - Owner/ Principal Designer
Doug was born and raised in Halton Hills. Doug is the Principal Designer with not only a diploma in Architecture, but multiple years of experience working with many local families creating their dream homes. It’s his ability to empathize with each client’s reality and lead the team through the design process with a high level of detail that makes his projects successful. Doug carries his B.C.I.N. License and is acknowledged by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing. Doug's portfolio spans a wide range of project types from Custom Homes to pool cabanas. Doug will come to your home and work closely with you as you together will create your new space. He is married with five kids and has a real flare for design and making your dreams a reality.
Bethany Van Ravens - Office Manager
Bethany is the voice behind Matthews Design. She is your first encounter and the cheerful voice that will get you on the right path to meeting with Doug. She will have many questions for you on your project and may require you to do some homework with getting a copy of your site plan or survey, which will allow her to look into your Zoning and the By-laws. Bethany lives in Halton Hills with her family and loves being a part of getting your ideas to begin on the right track. Bethany attended the Office Administration program at Lambton College and loves nothing more than a new pack of Post it Notes.
Kenzie Matthews - Intermediate Designer
Kenzie's proactive attitude and positive relationship building skills makes her a valuable asset to the Matthews Design team. She is a recent Honours graduate of the Architectural program at Sherridan College. Her specialty is HVAC designs but she also loves the challange of 3D technology in being able to bring the clients vision into a 3D design which helps you visualize the final project.
