For this phase of the process we will produce computer generated sketch floor plans and elevations.  At Matthews Design we do not do a one shot deal, like it or else. You are investing into your home, so it should be the way you want it. This is an important phase requiring input from you. Matthews Design then takes your ideas and criteria and further develops them into different design concepts. With these multiple options you can tell us if you like it or hate it; that is the idea of the design process, to pick and choose or edit until satisfied. Depending on where you live designs can be impeded by Municipal bylaws for setbacks to property lines, Conservation Authorities for setbacks to slopes (hills) or regulating flood plains and also having the required area for septic systems as there are setback requirements to the structure on the property.
